Be enrolled in one of the international Masters programs of the EPN Scientifiques et Technologiques at Cnam proposing this course. This course is entirely taught in English.

Cette UE vise essentiellement à améliorer les compétences des étudiants concernant les présentations scientifiques ou techniques, en s'intéressant principalement aux rôles et aux effets des médiums utilisés pour présenter un projet (e.g., une affiche, un artefact, une vidéo...). (1) Il s'agit donc d'abord de donner quelques repères théoriques qui permettent de comprendre l'utilité pratique et rhétoriques des médiums dans la présentation. (2) Il s'agit ensuite de mettre en application ces repères aux travers de projets réalisés ou retenus par les étudiants dans leur propre spécialité. (3) Il s'agit enfin d'analyser comment une présentation peut mettre en valeur les aspects clés un projet, et comment les éléments produits pour le projet peuvent structurer une présentation et servir ses objectifs.?Le but de ce cours est donc de développer les qualités de compréhension et de présentation des projets scientifiques et techniques des étudiants.?
 
The major aim of this course is to improve students' scientific or technical presentation skills, focusing on the roles and the effects of involved media in presenting a project (e.g., a poster, an artefact, a video...). First, a few theoretical guidelines a provided for understanding the practical and rhetorical use of media in presentation. Second, this understanding is used in presenting projects carried out or chosen by students in their own specialties. Third and last, presentations are analysed to point out how they can highlight the key aspects of a project, and how the elements produced for the project can structure a presentation and serve its objectives.?Therefore, the aim of this course is to develop students' abilities to understand and present scientific and technical projects.?
